“Choosing Our Race: Defining Our Own Pathway for African American Male Success” Thursday March 5 to Friday March 6, 2020 Location: Hyatt Regency Los Angeles International Airport 6225 West Century Blvd. Los Angeles, CA 90045

The African American Male Education Network and Development (A2MEND) organization is a non-profit organization, comprised of African American male educators who utilize scholarly and professional expertise to foster institutional change within the community college system to increase success of African American male students.  Since 2006, the A2MEND organization has been the premiere organization that has focused solely on addressing the lack of educational success for African American male students in California Community Colleges. In March 2019, A2MEND hosted its 12th annual African American Male Summit conference in Los Angeles, in which close to 1,000 students, faculty, staff and administrators attended with the purpose of fostering African American male success within community colleges.
