Umoja University Hosts Book Club Gathering #3 on September 16

The Umoja Community Education Foundation will host the third Umoja University Book Club gathering on Wednesday, September 16, 2020, at 12 p.m. This session will cover chapters 5 and 6 of Dr. Bettina Love's award-winning book entitled "We Want to Do More Than Survive: Abolitionist Teaching and the Pursuit of Educational Freedom." Umoja Hosts Second Student Leadership Summit - Day 1

The Umoja Community Education Foundation kicked off the second Student Leadership Summit on August 1, 2019, at the University of California, Merced (UC Merced). More than 200 attendees were electrified by the opening ritual from Umoja’s Executive Director, Nzingha Dugas. Ms. Dugas challenged the attendees to know their culture and history so that it informs the way they experience their academic, personal and familial pursuits. The students were engaged in Don Lowry's True Colors Personality Profiling System (True Colors).
