What is Umoja University?

UMOJA UNIVERSITY is a comprehensive professional development resource for all coordinators, faculty, staff, and students. We gather experts that collaborate with the Umoja Community Education Foundation to provide relevant curriculum, workshops, training, and speakers series that address issues key to Black student success and advocacy.

Umoja University will include three primary areas for professional development, including the Umoja University Speakers Series, Umoja University Book Club, and Faculty Development Series. The curriculum will be guided by subject matter experts whos work is rooted in African pedagogy and Umoja's practices.

How much does Umoja University cost?

Our professional development offerings will vary in cost. Our objective is to bring the brightest minds to the table in order to enhance the way we serve students and build personal, academic, and political capital in the spaces we occupy. We hope to secure amiable sponsors to offset costs so that our development opportunities are available to students and staff.
