Umoja is excited to announce that Dr. Christopher Emdin’s new book, “Ratchetdemic: Reimagining Academic Success” will be our 2022 Umoja University Book Club reading. Dr. Emdin describes his newest research as a “revolutionary new educational model that encourages educators to provide spaces for students to display their academic brilliance without sacrificing their identities.” We look forward to creating community dialogue, sharing resources, and empowering students and faculty through this discourse.
