This event is part of our Health Professions Explorers Webinar Series, a program within Umoja Community Foundation, focused on diversifying the healthcare workforce.  Our goal is to provide academic support, mentoring, and advocacy for underrepresented minority (URM) community college students pursuing health professions careers. Our main objectives are to:

  • Provide academic support, counseling, and mentoring underrepresented minority community college students interested in health careers annually.
  • Conduct outreach to underrepresented minority community college students interested in the health professions annually to help increase the transfer rate to private colleges and the CSU and UC systems.
  • Expand and implement strategies to improve community college transfer pathways for underrepresented minority students pursuing careers in the health professions.
