Umoja Community Presents

2026 Sponsorship Opportunities

Partner with a movement that is reshaping educational outcomes for Black, African American, and other students across higher education — and help build the next generation of leaders.

“The success of our scholars is everybody’s business. Your partnership is not just support — it is an investment in proven impact.” — Umoja Community Education Foundation
The Opportunity

Twenty years of transforming educational outcomes.

For nearly 20 years, Umoja has been transforming outcomes for Black, African American, and other students across higher education. Serving 16,000+ students across 83 colleges in California and Washington, Umoja is more than a program — it is a growing movement advancing culturally responsive education and student success.

When you partner with Umoja, you align your name with rigorous outcomes, an authentic community, and a proven model that institutions across two states have chosen to adopt.

Why It Matters Your partnership is not just support — it is an investment in proven impact.
Why Umoja Works

Grounded in African pedagogy. Proven by the data.

Our approach affirms identity, builds community, and centers the lived experiences of students. When the voices and histories of students are deliberately and intentionally recognized, self-efficacy emerges and a foundation is formed for academic success. Umoja students are:

2.8× more likely to complete an undergraduate degree
more likely to earn an Associate’s degree
more likely to transfer to a 4-year institution within three years
more likely to earn a Certificate of Credit
